Overview

The primary function of the Senior Project Superintendent for Data Center Projects requires onsite work on remote projects. The Project Superintendent controls all field activities related to one or more projects, including onsite field administration, supervision, and technical management of construction operations. This role supervises and mentors Project Superintendent(s), Assistant Project Superintendent(s), Field Engineer(s), and laborers, and manages daily construction operations, subcontractors, owner vendors, and other construction personnel.

Skills
  • Successfully supervise Mission Critical / Data Center Projects with a budget range of $50M - $100M+, across various delivery methods and market sectors.
  • Manage and organize a large project staff.
  • Handle multiple WEO personalities, subcontractors, vendors, and other stakeholders.
  • Manage one or more projects simultaneously with adequate support staff.
  • Participate in the RFQ/RFP process and secure work as the Senior Project Superintendent.
  • Maintain deep industry relationships with clients, architects, engineers, subcontractors, and vendors.
  • Hold the team accountable for their responsibilities.
  • Resolve conflicts between field and project management staff.
  • Provide objective feedback to project staff and receive feedback from upper management.
  • Develop and enforce project‑specific site logistics plans and temporary facilities.
  • Develop and enforce project‑specific site safety programs.
  • Coordinate and manage all material deliveries and subcontracts.
  • Assist the Project Manager in preparing scopes of work for bid packages and subcontractor subcontracts.
  • Provide input to the Project Manager on all field activities that impact the Change Order process.
  • Develop and enforce the overall baseline schedule and 8‑week look‑ahead project schedules.
  • Implement and manage all SWPPP measures and documentation.
  • Obtain and maintain QSP certification, if required by specific projects.
  • Understand all project documents—plans, specifications, prime contract, subcontracts, purchase orders, daily correspondence, shop drawings, and submittals.
  • Read and enforce contractual obligations in the field.
  • Maintain a complete and accurate set of working documents and as‑builts.
  • Provide technical assistance to all members of the project team.
  • Coordinate all field inspections and testing.
Management Skills
  • Provide pertinent field information that could affect monthly reconciliation reports.
  • Develop and enforce a project‑specific quality control program for all subcontractors.
  • Maintain the project P6 baseline schedule and all monthly updates.
  • Insert schedule delays/fragments into the master P6 schedule.
  • Monitor job‑site control reporting measures.
  • Video record and document existing project conditions before construction.
  • File weekly progress photos on  with proper labeling.
  • Prepare meeting minutes for weekly subcontractor meetings, pre‑installation meetings, safety meetings, etc.
  • Create and file incident reports.
  • Schedule, chair, or delegate all JHA meetings and utilize the WEO safety department as applicable.
  • Oversee daily coordination of all subcontractor activities.
  • Provide input to the Project Manager on cost‑impacting field activities, following WEO procedures.
  • Document claims or potential legal actions.
  • Ensure compliance with insurance, labor relations, and EEO requirements.
  • Supervise all WEO‑employed or third‑party laborers.
  • Submit weekly time sheets for WEO labor force.
  • Assist in developing the General Conditions budget.
  • Assist in developing subcontractor‑specific scopes of work as exhibits to subcontracts.
  • Enforce WEO and Cal‑OSHA safety standards.
  • Collect man‑counts and daily reports for each subcontractor on site; write concise daily summaries for WEO reports.
  • Create and manage completion and punch lists and ensure their timely completion.
  • Mentor field staff and conduct annual performance reviews.
  • Maintain a coaching tree of successful Project Superintendents, Assistant Project Superintendents, and Field Engineers.
