Superintendent – Austin, Texas

Summit Design + Build is actively seeking an experienced Commercial Superintendent to join our dynamic team in Austin, Texas. With a growing portfolio of multi‑family, mixed‑use, and complex commercial projects, this role requires a superintendent with strong commercial concrete experience and the ability to lead sophisticated, highly coordinated builds.

This is not traditional wood framing work
. Candidates must have hands‑on experience with large‑scale commercial concrete projects and understand the level of coordination and sequencing required for these builds.

Base pay range: $/yr – $/yr.

Additional compensation:
Annual Bonus.

• Superintendents with 8+ years of experience overseeing commercial construction projects
• Proven experience managing commercial concrete projects from early phases through completion
• Strong ability to interpret structural drawings
  , particularly as they relate to MEP systems and façade trades
• Experience sequencing work for interior finish trades and managing complex trade coordination
• Leaders who manage tradespeople as professionals and partners, not as “clock‑watchers”
• Ability to anticipate and forecast sequential activities, including identifying and addressing omissions or conflicts in approved plans and specifications
• Individuals comfortable with leading the site in the absence of other staff members
• Familiarity with the Austin market is a plus
• Bilingual (English/Spanish) is a strong plus

• Oversee day‑to‑day jobsite operations, ensuring projects remain on schedule, within budget, and aligned with quality and safety standards
• Lead subcontractors and field teams, coordinating work across concrete, MEP, façade, and interior finish trades
• Proactively plan and sequence work activities, identifying potential gaps or conflicts in drawings and specifications
• Manage jobsite logistics, inspections, schedules, and issue resolution
• Represent Summit Design + Build professionally in project meetings with internal teams, subcontractors, and ownership

• Minimum 8+ years of commercial construction supervision experience
  , with a strong emphasis on commercial concrete
• Deep understanding of construction methods, sequencing, and field coordination
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office and construction management software such as Procore
• High school diploma required; additional education in construction management or a related field is a plus
