Assistant Construction Superintendent - Austin, TX
The Assistant Field Superintendent will assist with all aspects of the construction project, including the finishing and turning over of units to management.
Job duties:- Reports to Lead Super/PM
- Ensures subcontractors are onsite when scheduled
- Updates superiors if subcontractors are not onsite
- Ensures finish materials/subs are onsite
- Uses finish schedule to ensure materials are placed in correct units
- Walks with subcontractors daily to ensure completeness
- Creates punch lists for subcontractors on finishing units via Procore
- Ensure punch lists are completed
- Performs final walks with mgmt.
- Ensures mgmt. walk lists are completed
- Turns over keys to mgmt.
- Assists maintenance staff with new move ins
- 100% in the field
- Must be local to Austin, Texas
- Bachelor's Degree in civil or construction management, preferred.
- Minimum 2 years’ experience supervising all phases of multifamily, housing or hotel construction experience.
- Understands and can interpret codes and UL assemblies.
- Computer skills:
Outlook, Word, Excel, Microsoft Project - Must be able to read and understand plans and specifications.
- Great communication skills including verbal and written.
- Organized and detail oriented.
