Construction Project Manager || Onsite in Austin, TX Base pay range
$/yr - $/yr
Job DescriptionAs a Project Manager, you will be responsible for developing, coordinating, implementing, and managing all facets necessary to construct the project on time, within budget, and at the specified quality. Project Managers are responsible for the day-to-day oversight and coordination of all construction activities from inception to completion.
Responsibilities- Manage the ordering of materials, equipment, and tools to meet the demands of assigned projects, while also staying current on industry pricing throughout the project progression.
- Assist Senior Project Manager with overall crew planning and logistics.
- Support field team by problem solving, troubleshooting, and distribution of project information.
- Monitor assigned projects and made routine site visits as projects progress to ensure field teams are installing work in accordance with contract terms.
- Track progress against schedule and budgets for all assigned projects, providing regular updates.
- Assist with procuring new work by responding to leads, making site visits, creating estimates, and writing proposals.
- Build and maintain customer relationships.
- Inspect and monitor compliance of safety and other regulations.
- Review, prepare, and process RFI's with design teams and clients.
- Prepare on-site meeting agendas, including keeping up with all project logs. (RFI logs, change order logs, submittal logs)
- Prepare subcontract scope sheets with subcontractors, suppliers, and others.
- Assist project team in closeout document execution. (Punchlist and as-built plans)
- Bachelor's degree in Construction Management or equivalent education.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience as a commercial or industrial construction project manager.
- Experience dealing with subcontracts and subcontractors.
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to manage teams and subcontractors effectively.
- Knowledge of construction safety regulations.
- A self-starter that is detail oriented, with the ability to complete multiple tasks with consistency and accuracy.
- Must have the ability to read/review/understand shop drawings and specifications for all phases of construction related to our work.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills to interact with clients, subcontractors, and team members.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and construction management software or other project-related software such as Autodesk, Procore, Sage 300.
- Ability to estimate jobs.
- OSHA 30 certification.
