Reporting to the Director of Field Operations, the Traveling Superintendent is the leader of the job site and is responsible for overseeing construction activities from pre-construction through project completion. This role will travel to assigned project locations and serve as LG Builders’ primary field leader, ensuring projects are delivered safely, efficiently, on schedule, and to LG’s quality standards.

The ideal candidate is an experienced commercial construction superintendent who is comfortable taking ownership of projects in different markets and environments. They are a strong communicator and critical thinker who can build effective relationships with subcontractors, clients, project teams, and other stakeholders while proactively identifying potential challenges and keeping the project moving forward.

• Supervise the total construction effort to ensure each project is constructed in accordance with design documents, project requirements, quality standards, and the contracted schedule.
• Travel to and remain onsite at assigned project locations as required throughout the duration of the project.
• Lead daily onsite construction activities and serve as the primary point of contact for field operations, including safety, quality assurance, subcontractor coordination, and site logistics.
• Create, maintain, and update project schedules using Microsoft Project and Procore, ensuring subcontractors and trades remain aligned with project milestones and critical-path activities.
• Coordinate sequencing and short-term planning with subcontractors to maintain project momentum and proactively address potential schedule impacts.
• Identify potential bottlenecks, constructability issues, project risks and drive solutions that minimize delays and maintain project commitments.
• Manage subcontractor relationships through consistent communication and follow-up regarding scheduling, RFIs, change orders, quality, safety, and completion of work.
• Review project drawings, specifications, scopes of work, and other construction documents to ensure work is being completed in accordance with project requirements.
