Job Description & How to Apply Below
Position: Traveling Underground Utility Superintendent (Sewer, Water Main & Storm)
West Texas | Up to $125K base + per diem, paid lodging and a company truck

Run each job from mobilization to final walkthrough, with your lodging, meals and truck covered while you're on the road.

What you get
  • A base salary of up to $125,000, depending on your experience.
  • Your lodging is paid on the nights you're away from home, which is usually 4–5 nights a week.
  • You receive per diem to cover your meals while you're on the road.
  • You're given a company truck or a vehicle allowance, so your own vehicle isn't taking the miles.
  • Health, dental and vision insurance, plus life insurance.
  • A 401(k), paid vacation and company holidays.
The company
  • A Texas utility contractor with about 20 years in business that self-performs its underground work.
  • It does municipal water, sewer and stormwater work for Texas cities.
  • This job is open because the contractor is expanding its projects.
  • The contractor isn't named here for confidentiality. I'll share the name when we speak.
The work
  • You'll lead the field side of underground utility projects: sanitary sewer, water main and stormwater drainage installs.
  • You'll run the crews, equipment and subcontractors day to day and keep the job on schedule.
  • You'll work with city inspectors to get the work inspected and accepted.
  • You're the senior person on site, responsible for safe excavation and trenching and for pipe going in to spec.
What you'll need
  • You've run underground sewer, water main and stormwater jobs as a Superintendent.
  • You're comfortable being away from home 4–5 nights a week.
  • A resume with a detailed project list: each job's scope, value, your role, and start and finish dates.
