** Purpose
* * The Marketing & Communications department at Texas Performing Arts is looking for a self-starter with a passion for great design and an interest in live events and the performing arts. We’re in search of qualified candidates to assist the Sr. Graphic Designer with the day-to-day graphic design needs (digital and print) of the department including, but not limited to: banners, posters, brochures, posters, flyers, house programs, signage, email templates, print and web advertising.

* *** UTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:*
* * Study and absorb the Texas Performing Arts Brand Guidelines and Style Guide to understand how we communicate our message across various platforms and different types of media.
* Assist Sr. Graphic Designer in the localization of tour ad mats, artist photos and other materials for use on Texas Performing Arts’ website, social media accounts and other digital properties.
* Help brainstorm on the ‘look and feel’ of intuitional marketing campaigns.
* Research all artists appearing at Texas Performing Arts; attend and contribute to Marketing & Communications meetings as needed.
* Work with Hook ’em Arts and provide design support for their efforts as needed.
* Represent Texas Performing Arts with a pleasant and professional demeanor through all interactions.
* Arrive on time for work and maintain a reliable attendance record. Dress appropriately for work in a casual, yet professional environment.

* REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
*
* * Great eye for design.
* Proficiency with Adobe Creative Cloud (Mainly InDesign and Photoshop).
* Working knowledge of Mac OS and Microsoft Office.
* Current pursuit of a Graphic Design, Art, Communications, Illustration, Advertising or Marketing/Communications degree.
*
* PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
*
* * Website maintenance experience.
* Active involvement with Hook ‘em Arts.
* Ability to take initiative.
* Working knowledge of additional applications within the Adobe Creative Cloud (Dreamweaver, Premier Pro, After Effects etc) is a plus, but not required.
