Job Summary:Join our team as a Team Leader Facade Designer and play a pivotal role in shaping high-performance, innovative building envelopes. You will leverage your expertise in façade design and building science to lead a talented design team, ensuring technical excellence and seamless project delivery from concept through completion.
Key Responsibilities:- Lead the design, development, and technical documentation of façade systems, including curtain wall and rainscreen assemblies, ensuring compliance with CWCT standards and regulatory requirements.
- Supervise, mentor, and empower a multidisciplinary team of designers, reviewing their work and providing guidance throughout the project lifecycle.
- Drive the integration of waterproofing strategies, passive house principles, and advanced building science into all façade solutions.
- Foster proactive engagement and communication with stakeholders, consultants, and contractors to ensure design intent is delivered and project milestones are achieved.
- Oversee prototyping and testing activities, validating design performance and system compliance through rigorous analysis and mock-ups.
- Champion best practices in parametric design, design documentation, regulatory compliance, and innovative problem‑solving approaches.
- Lead by example in maintaining high standards for both written and verbal communication within the team and with external partners.
- Bachelor’s degree in Architecture, Engineering, or a related discipline.
- Proven expertise in façade design, including curtain wall and rainscreen systems.
- Advanced proficiency in AutoCAD, Revit, and BIM modeling tools.
- Comprehensive knowledge of building science, waterproofing, and regulatory frameworks such as CWCT and Passive House.
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, demonstrating the ability to convey complex concepts clearly.
- Demonstrated leadership experience managing design teams, mentoring junior staff, and upholding high‑quality standards.
- Strong problem‑solving capabilities and a collaborative, team‑focused approach to project delivery.
- Experience with parametric design methodologies in façade applications.
- Hands‑on involvement in façade prototyping, mock‑up creation, and performance testing.
- Relevant certifications in façade engineering or sustainability, such as Certified Passive House Designer.
