Westwood Professional Services, Inc. is seeking a Project Landscape Architect to join our team. The position involves working within a collaborative team of landscape architects, civil engineers, planners, surveyors, environmental scientists, and transportation engineers. The primary responsibilities include providing design and graphic leadership for landscape architectural scopes on multi-discipline projects managed internally or externally. The individual will serve as the main contact for clients or project managers and oversee all aspects of scope management and delivery.

Your Role with Us: This full-time, in-office role contributes directly to our team’s success. Responsibilities include site analysis, design, and construction plans. While not supervisory, this position offers significant professional development opportunities within a supportive environment.

• Coordinate efforts with Graduate Landscape Designers (GLD) to assist in work production.
• Self-produce graphics, plans, and specifications for assigned scopes.
• Assist the Landscape Architectural Service Leader in training GLDs on standards.
• Ensure GLDs implement illustration, design, and CAD standards.
• Review submittals for completeness.
• Coordinate with Senior Landscape Architect for reviews and signing of documents.
• Develop skills in client management.
• Prepare scopes and fees for projects for review.
• Demonstrate a clear design methodology leading to creative solutions.
• Master basic graphics, plans, and illustrations for hardscape, grading, planting, and irrigation using digital and hand formats.
• Lead project meetings with staff, clients, and regulatory agencies.
• Lead construction administration scopes of services.

• Professional experience in Landscape Architecture.
• Proficiency in software for leading landscape design teams.
• Strong illustration and rendering skills.
• Successful management of landscape scopes within projects.
• Positive leadership and mentorship ethic.
• Attention to organization and processes.
• Experience with invoicing and proposal writing.

• Bachelor’s or master’s degree in Landscape Architecture from an accredited university.
• 7+ years of professional experience.

• Registered Landscape Architect license preferred or ability to obtain within one year.
