Purchasing Manager

LEVY DYKEMA is looking for a furniture-focused interior designer or someone with 5+ years of experience in commercial furniture selection and procurement to join our Austin office. We’re looking for people who are ambitious and passionate about how furniture makes the design; people who live and breathe FF&E and are excited to teach others all about it.

• Researching products and compiling a furniture library by function and project type
• Writing furniture specifications and developing procurement timelines
• Negotiating pricing and placing holds for orders
• Coordinating orders, shipping, warehousing, and final delivery
• Working with vendors to plan installation, overseeing installs, and creating furniture punch lists
• Assisting with final accessory shopping and styling

• Have a professional degree in Interior Design, licensure preferred, or direct, transferable experience in procurement
• Have 5 years minimum professional experience, with a focus on amenity spaces and ancillary furniture procurement, as well as coordinating with furniture dealers.
• Are fluent in Studio Designer, Word, Excel, and Power point
• Are competent in Revit (experience with AutoCAD, Sketchup, Bluebeam, Lumion, and Enscape are all big pluses)
• Have excellent organizational and multitasking skills
• Are excited to teach
