Store Designer, Worldwide Grocery Real Estate s store design position will be part of the Amazon Worldwide Retail Growth & Development. We are an exciting, fast-moving business unit, where everyone on the team needs to be entrepreneurial, wear many hats and work effectively in a highly collaborative environment. You must demonstrate the ability to efficiently drive multiple projects throughout all phases of design, permitting and construction administration. We are looking for people who want to join an ambitious, innovative and customer obsessed program.

• Solutions oriented, proactive and flexible attitude; willingness to take an “all hands-on deck” approach
• Translating brand design standards and concepts in an innovative yet fiscally responsible way
• Working across a large portfolio and multiple banners with a diverse set of programs
• Manage the design process, interfacing with internal and external design partners
• Adapting site specific conditions metrics and standards to store designs
• Build data driven scope of work with internal stakeholders, focused on servicing operating stores
• Develop FF&E and Décor packages
• Develop and produce comprehensive design development packages with internal and external stakeholders
• Create presentation packages to communicate design with cross-functional teams and senior leadership
• Drive and create Schematic Design Packages
• Coordinate with Construction, Procurement and Operations on budget, schedule and value engineering
• Manage consultants through all design phases
• Provide Construction Administrative support as needed
• Archive completed drawings, redlines, and shop drawings
• Obtain landlord approvals per lease requirements
• Review and approve submittals and shop drawings
• Demonstrated ability in building and health codes, 3D visualization, and industry trends
• Demonstrated ability to communicate design vision in visual, written, and verbal formats
• Manage multiple simultaneous projects with frequent communication, organization, time management and problem-solving

• Bachelor’s degree (BA/BS) in architecture or interior design
• 5+ years of commercial retail design or architecture experience
• Intermediate Revit skills

• Grocery experience strongly preferred
• Architectural or Interior Design FF&E background preferred
• Adobe Suite, Bluebeam, Enscape, Sketch Up, Smart Sheet
• Knowledge of current sustainability trends and practices preferred
• Proven track record of owning projects from start to finish
• Ability to manage change through multiple projects in various phases of design
• Experience with design development, construction documents, permitting and construction administration
• Demonstrated ability to work effectively in an extremely fast paced, ambiguous environment

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $58,200/year in our lowest geographic market up to $124,500/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on market location and may vary based on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company. Depending on the position offered, equity, sign-on payments, and other forms of compensation may be provided as part of a total package, in addition to benefits.
