A well-established architecture and design firm is seeking an Architect with healthcare experience to join its growing team in Austin. This is an opportunity to work on meaningful healthcare projects from early planning and design through construction, while collaborating closely with experienced architects, designers, engineers, clients, and consultants.
The ideal candidate is someone who enjoys working in a collaborative environment, has strong technical capabilities, and understands the unique design, documentation, and coordination requirements associated with healthcare environments.
What You’ll Do- Develop architectural designs and project documentation for healthcare facilities and related building projects.
- Participate in projects through multiple phases, including programming, schematic design, design development, construction documents, and construction administration.
- Prepare and coordinate architectural drawings, details, specifications, and presentations.
- Collaborate with clients, consultants, engineers, contractors, and internal project teams.
- Assist with project planning, design coordination, code compliance, and quality control.
- Participate in client meetings, site visits, construction administration, and project coordination as needed.
- Help develop practical, functional, and aesthetically strong solutions that meet client and project requirements.
- Mentor and collaborate with junior staff when appropriate.
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Architecture or a related field.
- 5+ years of professional architectural experience preferred.
- Experience working on healthcare projects strongly preferred.
- Proficiency with Revit and standard architectural production tools.
- Strong understanding of building codes, construction documents, detailing, and architectural coordination.
- Ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary project team.
- Strong communication and organizational skills.
- Architectural licensure or active pursuit of licensure is preferred.
