**** Cardiac Anesthesiologist Needed at Central Austin, TX Specialty Hospital.
**** Description
* * Heart Hospital of Austin features 6 ORs and 1 EP lab in specialty adult 72 bed facility. Surgeons are exceptionally friendly & caring with great outcomes. There is professional autonomy, including lines, within team model in an award-winning hospital; also, there are close, collaborative working relationships and access to high acuity cases outside academics. Help will always be available.

* Ranked by  Health grades as the No. 1 cardiac program in Texas for six consecutive years
* Case Assignments
* Open hearts, electrophysiology lab, endovascular, NORA, and general surgery. No OB, peds, or neuro. In 2022, there were 680 pump cases, 250 TAVRs, 65 mitral clips.

* ** Responsibilities
* * Assist in the directing and coordinating of activities in the Anesthesia Department
* Responsible for the medical management of patients who are rendered unconscious and/or insensible to pain and emotional stress during surgery and other medical procedures
* Pre-anesthesia assessment
* Obtains and/or verifies patient consent
* Discuss anesthetic options and risks with the patient Induction, maintenance, and emergence from anesthesia
* Monitoring of the patient's physiological condition
* Performance of clinical intervention as needed
* Requirements
* * M.D./D.O. Degree from an accredited College of Medicine
* TEE proficiency is required
* Completion of Cardiac Fellowship
* ECFMG and FLEX
* Completion of approved Residency in Anesthesia
* Currently licensed as a Physician
