University Health Services (UHS) is an accredited on-campus medical facility dedicated to addressing the varied healthcare needs of UTAustin students. UHS provides comprehensive services, including general medical care, public health education and specialty clinics.

This position is full-time (40 hours per week) and offers theoption to work between 9 and 12 months per year. The number ofmonths worked annually will be established at the time of hire between the selected candidate and hiring supervisor. Employees working less than 12 months annually will be placed on Not Scheduled to Work leave without pay during periods not scheduled towork.
PurposeTo provide medical care for patients eligible for UHSservices.
Responsibilities- Provision of primary care for the students of the University.
- Contributing to and supporting overall organizational goals:
- Periodic responsibilities include:
- Participating in and supporting peer review for providers;
- Participating in the development and evaluation of medical care standards for UHS;
- Performing administrative duties and serving on UHS committees when requested; and
- Participating in outreach programs on campus, as appropriate.
- Reviews and demonstrates compliance with UHS and departmental policies and procedures.
- Demonstrates professionalism and commitment to quality care by adhering to customer service standards, respecting patient rightsand confidentiality, following policies and procedures, and actively supporting continuous improvement initiatives.
- Demonstrates regular and punctual attendance pattern.
- Readily accepts other responsibilities and participate in other activities and committees as assigned.
- Doctoral degree in Medicine (MD or DO)
- Completion of ACGME Residency Program in the United States
- Current Board certification in a primary care specialty applicable to college health.
- Unrestricted license to practice medicine in the State of Texas
- Valid DEA registration
- Two or more years of experience in providing primary medical care to patients in an ambulatory setting, including use of electronic medical records
- Relevant education and experience may be substituted as appropriate.
- More than the required years of experience
- Experience working with college-age populations
- Two or more years of experience in providing medical care toyoung adult age patients, preferably in a college health clinic
- Experience with medical supervision of advanced practice registered nurses and/or physician assistants in a clinic setting
- Excellent interpersonal communication skills
- Excellent professional demeanor
- Experience with electronic medical records, preferably Pointand Click
- Familiarity in working in an integrated behavioral health clinic setting
$202,000 + per year FTE depending on qualifications

Actual salary will be prorated based on the assigned annual work schedule (9-12 months)- May work around standard office conditions
