Part-Time Math Tutor Wanted

We are currently seeking mathematics tutors for Grade Power Learning - Austin South. This position is perfect for anyone who loves working with students, enjoys explaining the ins and outs of Algebra I through pre-Calculus, among other subjects, and is passionate about helping others build their skills in these areas.

Tutors at Grade Power Learning do not have to prepare lesson plans before class, as all lessons are pre-planned by the directors. Applicants will be fully trained in our proprietary philosophy and methods.

Available hours: Monday-Thursday from 3:30pm-7:30pm and Saturday 9:00am-1:00pm. You may select your hours. Your students will love working with you, and being reliable is a must. This role is in-person. You must be able to commute to this location; this is not an online position.

Education:

• Bachelor’s degree or similar certification in a relevant field
• Teaching certification is an asset

Experience:

• Experience working with a variety of ages
• Comfort with math through pre-Calculus
• Strong English written and oral communication skills
• Ability to multitask and balance working with up to three students at a time

• Teaching up to 3 students at a time with individualized learning plans
• Following the Grade Power Learning methodology and philosophy
• Maintaining a friendly and professional manner at all times

Job Type: Part-time

Salary: $22 - $25 / hour, based on experience

• Monday - Thursday afternoons and Saturday mornings
• You can decide which days, what hours, and how many, you would like to work
