UFT Diagnostic Medical Sonography

We are seeking an instructor dedicated to excellence in teaching who desires to make a difference in the lives of our students. This teaching assignment is located on the Austin Campus. The instructor will be assigned to teach in a traditional classroom and lab format.
Activities related to comprehensive community college teaching and learning, including but not limited to:
* Instructional planning and delivery;
* Teaching and facilitating student learning;
* Curriculum planning and development;
* Assessment of student performance;
* Classroom management;
* Maintenance of professional skills and credentials;
* Participation in department meetings, coordination activities, and college-wide committees

** Three full-time years (or equivalent) of verified related paid clinical work experience as a diagnostic medical sonographer. One year of this work experience shall be within the five years immediately preceding the date of application for the credential field. The recency requirement shall be waived if the individual has two years of successful full-time (or equivalent) postsecondary teaching experience in the credential field within the last five years.

Part 8, faculty hired into unlimited positions have 6 full semesters to complete the Teaching and Learning Competency Requirements. These seven courses are provided to new faculty, at no cost, through the Minnesota State Network for Educational Development. Faculty members can take these courses one of three ways: asynchronous online, hybrid 2-weekend intensive, and weeklong intensive.

Experience teaching/tutoring.

Experience with data collection and continuous improvement analysis.

Experience with simulation, sonography skills, clinical instruction, and lecture (curriculum) development.

Supervisory experience. Demonstrated experience working with multicultural and underserved populations.
