Girls Head Lacrosse Coach – Part Time, Stipend Only
Regents School of Austin, a K‑12 Christian institution located on an 82‑acre campus in southwest Austin, is seeking a committed and faith‑centered coach for its girls’ lacrosse program.
Position SummaryThe Athletic Department’s mission is to use sports as a vehicle for Christ, emphasizing character, commitment, and community. The Head Lacrosse Coach will be a Christian role‑model who leads, disciplines, and inspires student‑athletes toward a deeper relationship with Jesus Christ while advancing the team’s competitive performance.
Duties & Responsibilities- Culture
Provide a long‑term plan for program advancement; implement the plan for grades 7‑12, including off‑season and summer development goals. - Routinely meet with coaches, student‑athletes, and parents to reinforce the department’s vision.
- Lead conflict resolution among parents, coaches, and student‑athletes.
- Meet with prospective families showing interest in lacrosse.
- Instruction
Use varied teaching techniques tailored to diverse learning styles; ensure consistency among assistant coaches. - Prepare written tryout and practice plans demonstrating skill progression and conditioning.
- Conduct practices that progress from fundamentals to advanced concepts, ensuring safe techniques and clear warnings against unsafe practices.
- Incorporate cardiovascular and musculoskeletal conditioning regimens appropriate to athlete development and weather conditions.
- Oversight
Supervise structured practice and the safety, maintenance, and usage of equipment. - Evaluate athlete readiness and enforce medical clearance before participation.
- Identify injury risks and maintain safe playing conditions.
- Ensure proper protective gear and equipment stewardship.
- Maintain cleanliness of facilities and equipment storage.
- Administrative
Maintain knowledge of NCAA/NFHS rules relevant to lacrosse. - Attend district meetings, athletic banquets, clinics, and other non‑routine events.
- Meet weekly with the Director of Athletics.
- Provide emergency care; maintain CPR / First Aid / AED certification and knowledge of campus AED locations.
- Execute assigned summer camps and other duties as assigned.

- Organizational and time‑management abilities; detail‑oriented, self‑motivated.
- Process‑driven approach.
- Excellent oral and written communication.
- Technology proficiency (Google Apps, Microsoft Office).
- Ability to adapt across varied social environments.
- Bachelor’s Degree preferred.
- Three or more years of coaching experience.
- Demonstrated desire to disciple youth athletes toward deeper Christ‑centered relationships.
- Proven leadership of student‑athletes and coaching staffs.
- Clear faith in Christ and support for the Athletic Department’s mission.
