Overview

OT Academic Fieldwork Coordinator/Doctoral Capstone Coordinator (9-month full‑time faculty position) in the Department of Occupational Therapy ard's University, beginning January 2026. The University is a nationally ranked, independent Catholic university and Hispanic Serving Institution (HSI). The successful candidate will plan, develop, coordinate, monitor, and assess the Level I and Level II Fieldwork program, mentor students through fieldwork and capstone experiences, and support educational opportunities for clinical educators, recruitment/admissions, advising, service, scholarly work, and other duties as assigned by the OT Program Director.

• Plan, develop, coordinate, monitor, and assess Level I and Level II Fieldwork programs.
• Collaborate with and mentor students through fieldwork and capstone experiences.
• Plan and implement educational opportunities for clinical educators; assist with recruitment and admissions processes; advise students.
• Provide service to the department, college, and community as strategically planned and appointed.
• Participate in scholarly endeavors and perform other duties as assigned by the OT Program Director.
• Develop and maintain clinical and capstone site policies, procedures, and relationships; coordinate site visits and agreements with university contract officials.
• Ensure regulatory and policy compliance related to the position; communicate policies to stakeholders (clinical sites, faculty, students).
• Facilitate placement coordination, scheduling, and assessment of student performance with fieldwork educators and students; provide guidance to problem solve issues.
• Evaluate clinical education sites through student feedback, on-site visits, and ongoing communication.
• Attend AFWC and local consortium meetings; support summer semester activities as needed.
• Assist in aligning students with capstone experiential sites for capstone projects.

• Full-time core faculty teaching in OTD programs must hold a doctoral degree awarded by a USDE-recognized regional accrediting body (degree need not be in occupational therapy).
• Licensed as an occupational therapist in Texas.
• Experience in scholarly activity aligned with the DCC role.
• Demonstrated record of supervising fieldwork students in a clinical capacity.
• Minimum of 2 years of teaching experience at the college/university level.
• Minimum of 2 years of clinical experience.
• Experience in scholarly activity preferred.
