What You Will Be Doing- Plan and facilitate small-group literacy workshops for K‑2 students, ensuring phonics instruction is engaging, enjoyable, and tailored to individual needs
- Adjust teaching approaches in the moment based on student responses, group literacy levels, and behavioral signals
- Conduct motivational sessions with students to promote progress in adaptive literacy applications and meet learning targets
- Track student performance data from adaptive platforms and apply it to customize instruction for each literacy group
- Apply storytelling, humor, gaming metaphors, and affirmative feedback to sustain student effort and address reluctance
- Able to work on-site at Next Gen Academy in Austin, TX
- Bachelor's degree in elementary education, reading, or a related discipline
- Certification in structured literacy methodologies such as Orton‑Gillingham, Wilson Reading System, or comparable evidence-based phonics frameworks
- 2+ years of experience providing small-group reading instruction to K‑2 students or learners facing reading challenges
- Proven capability to evaluate student reading proficiency and develop differentiated instruction autonomously
- Genuine interest in video games and gaming culture, whether or not you play games personally
- Authorized to work legally in the United States without requiring visa sponsorship

Working with usThis is a full‑time (40 hours per week), long‑term position. The position is immediately available and requires entering into an independent contractor agreement with Crossover as a Contractor of Record.
