The Implementation Specialist, Preparing & Retaining Educators through Partnership Program will play a critical role in the initial launch and implementation of the statewide PREP Program Allotment. The program, established by legislature and signed into law in June 2025, seeks to improve recruitment, preparation, and mentorship of teachers across Texas.
Key responsibilities include developing a coordinated communication plan, creating communication collateral, and delivering technical assistance to Education Service Centers and school districts through convenings, webinars, office hours, and other resources.
This position reports to the Preparing & Retaining Educators through Partnership Project Manager and is situated in the Talent Pathways Division.
Flexible work location within Texas may be considered for qualified candidates.

Essential FunctionsMinimum Qualifications
- Graduation from an accredited four‑year college or university.
- At least five (5) years of experience in the education field.

- Share the belief that all Texas students can achieve at high levels and succeed in college, career, or the military.
- Knowledge of teacher preparation landscape and policies in Texas preferred.
- Communicates complex ideas clearly, using practical and accessible language; excellent written and oral communication skills.
- Knowledge of the school system and ESC landscape.
- Exceptional written communication skills.
- Ability to create compelling PowerPoint presentations with effective visualizations.
- Meticulous attention to detail and ability to copy‑edit work products.
- Diligent in setting measurable goals, long‑term project planning, tracking progress, and prioritizing work.
- Highly organized; balance the demands of multiple projects while maintaining quality.
- Strong virtual and hybrid meeting planning and facilitation skills.
- Ability to translate new, complex information into concrete plans and deliverables.
- Ability to build relationships quickly with a broad range of stakeholder groups.
