What You Will Be Doing- Plan and conduct small-group literacy workshops for K-2 learners, making phonics instruction enjoyable, interactive, and tailored to individual needs
- Modify teaching approaches on the fly in response to student readiness, group proficiency levels, and engagement signals
- Facilitate motivational sessions with students to promote progress in adaptive literacy platforms and support achievement of reading objectives
- Track student performance metrics from adaptive technology and apply insights to customize instruction for each group
- Employ storytelling, humor, gaming metaphors, and encouragement to sustain student effort and address reluctance
- On-site availability at Next Gen Academy in Austin, TX
- Bachelor s degree in elementary education, reading, or a related discipline
- Certification in structured literacy methods such as Orton-Gillingham, Wilson Reading System, or comparable evidence-based phonics curricula
- 2+ years of experience providing small-group reading instruction to K-2 students or learners with reading difficulties
- Proven capacity to evaluate student reading levels and develop differentiated lessons autonomously
- Genuine interest in video games and gaming culture, regardless of personal gaming experience
- Authorized to work in the United States without need for visa sponsorship

Working with usThis is a full-time (40 hours per week), long-term position. The position is immediately available and requires entering into an independent contractor agreement with Crossover as a Contractor of Record.
