The Department of Chemistry at the University of Texas at Austin invites applications for a tenure-track faculty position in synthetic chemistry, subject to available funding. Applicants whosefuture research programs are aligned under the broad themes of synthetic organic, organometallic, inorganic and/or materialschemistry are particularly encouraged to apply. Successful candidates will contribute to our higher education mission through dynamic teaching, research, and service activities.
Applicants are expected to establish and sustain a vibrant research program; serve as dedicated teachers and mentors to our increasingly diverse students at both the undergraduate and graduate levels; and assist in the administrative and governance functions of the department, the university and the profession viaservice on committees, as appropriate. Applicants for the position of Assistant Professor must have a promising research agenda, and astrong commitment to graduate and undergraduate student education and success.

- PhD in chemistry or closely related field.
