Job Summary:

Freedom Solar Power seeks dedicated, humble, and hardworking Commercial Solar Installers for national commercial solar projects, with experience in construction, electrical, or solar installation. Install 10kW‑1MW solar systems. This position is 90% travel; mostly four‑week deployments with occasional weekend work.

Location:

Based in Austin, TX. Will travel extensively across the U.S.

• Work with a team of installers on commercial solar projects.
• Execute quality workmanship and complete tasks on schedule.
• Maintain safety, quality, and a positive attitude in accordance with company policies.
• Represent Freedom Solar’s mission, goals, and values.
• Assist with other duties as assigned.

• Prior solar, construction, or electrical experience.
• Strong work history with career progression.
• Flexible and willing to do what it takes to complete the job.

• 2+ years experience in commercial solar installation, electrical, or construction (electrical coding strongly desired).
• Physically able to lift, bend, squat, and haul 50+ lbs.
• Capable of working in hot climates.
• Understanding of commercial solar mechanical and electrical principles.
• Valid driver’s license and clean MVR for company vehicle use.
• Willingness to travel weeks at a time across the U.S. (90% of the year).
