Mechanical Engineer I in our Austin office for Summer 2026 involves helping clients achieve energy-efficient building solutions, supporting the design and deployment of systems that advance healthcare, science and technology, energy, and other vital sectors.

• Assist with load calculations, system sizing and layouts, equipment sizing, and equipment selection.
• Perform field surveys and review equipment shop drawings.
• As you gain experience, take on greater roles in leading mechanical project teams, writing specifications, participating in project meetings with clients and other consultants, and supporting construction‑phase work.

• BSME/BSAE from ABET‑accredited school.
• Minimum GPA of 2.5.
• Non‑academic internship.
• Leadership involvement in extracurricular activities or student organizations preferred.
• EIT certification (FE) a plus.
• Internship experience in the MEP consulting engineering field preferred.

• Strong spoken and written communications skills.
• Excellent organization and time management.
• Quick technical comprehension with a focus on client outcomes.
• Ability to prioritize multiple tasks effectively.
• Ability to work well independently and in team environments.
