We are hiring a Senior Structural Engineer professional within our Advanced Manufacturing team to work on a variety of projects related to Data Centers, including new builds, retrofits, colocations, etc.
You will perform various aspects of structural engineering assignments and increase your familiarity with design methods and tools. You’ll be a key asset, contributing to and working with a diverse team of engineers and designers on projects of various sizes, liaising with internal professionals and design departments, and coordinating designs with other Jacobs offices domestically and internationally. You’ll have the opportunity to grow technically and professionally as you gain more experience and expand your leadership role within the organization.
Other key contributions include
- Performing a variety of analysis
- Creating computer models for structures
- Performing calculations for member designs and foundations, material take‑offs for estimating, preparing miscellaneous calculations, and assisting with schedules

Here’s what you’ll need
- Bachelor of Science in Civil or Structural Engineering
- 8 or more years of professional experience in structural engineering
- Registered Professional Engineer with the ability to become registered in additional states
- Knowledge of CAD software, such as Auto Cad, Revit, Micro Station and S3D
- Proficiency with structural analysis software such as RISA or STAAD
- Knowledge and application of ACI, AISC, ASCE 7, AIST Technical Report 13, and other industry‑relevant design code and standards
- Knowledge and application of Building Codes
- Proficiency with MS Office suite software including MS Teams for remote coordination
- Ability for travel to various client sites (approx. 10%–20% travel)
Ideally, you’ll also have
- Master of Science in Engineering
- Experience with industrial metals projects including casting and rolling operations or similar heavy industrial projects
- Ability to lead teams to deliver commitments on schedule and on budget while meeting quality and client expectations

The base salary range for this position is $ to $. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job‑related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.
