Primary ObjectiveThe Failure Analysis Engineer will be responsible for identifying the root cause of product failures and providing solutions to prevent them from recurring utilizing various tools and techniques to complete analysis.
Major Areas of Accountability- Support high volume job requests that include SEM, FIB, TEM and other analytical techniques.
- Conduct detailed failure analysis investigations on products or equipment failures.
- Develop and implement plans for addressing root causes of failures.
- Create reports and presentations for internal and external audience review.
- Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to identify and resolve failure trends.
- Ensure all FA lab equipment is operational to minimize downtime.
- Be able to work in a team environment and coordinate tool utilization to maximize tool output.
Education: Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering, material science or related field.
Experience: Minimum of 5 years’ experience in failure analysis, preferably in a manufacturing or product development environment.
Skills:
- Knowledge of relevant tools and software including SEM, FIB, TEM and other analytical tools.
- Experience with failure analysis and root cause analysis techniques.
- Strong organizational and multi‑tasking skills and familiar with Semiconductor process flows.
- Excellent communication and problem‑solving skills.
- Tool ownership experience in troubleshooting tool issues and working with service representatives to schedule necessary tool preventive maintenance.
This position is full‑time with typical business hours of 8:00 am – 5:00 pm, Monday through Friday with some possible travel opportunity.
Physical Requirements- This position will require to sit for long periods at a time.
