Wireless Network Engineer WNE

Hybrid - On Site and Telework – Austin, TX area I. DESCRIPTION OF SERVICES

Maintains, analyzes, troubleshoots, and repairs wireless network systems. Leads testing and upgrading of new and existing wireless hardware and software. Ability to follow direction and technical documentation.

Minimum Requirements:

Candidates that do not meet or exceed the minimum stated requirements (skills/experience) will be displayed to customers but may not be chosen for this opportunity.

• Experience:
  
  8 years.
• Installs, configures, and maintains wireless network equipment, network management, and security: 8 years required.
• Detailed knowledge of 802.11 b/g/n/ac standards and industry best practices for implementing high-density WiFi solutions: 3 years required.
• Preferred:
  Previous years’ experience working with the Texas Department of Motor Vehicles network.

Expected Start Date 11/03/2025 and Expected End Date 08/31/2026

Normal business hours are Monday through Friday from 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM, excluding State holidays when the agency is closed. May be required to work outside the normal business hours on weekends, evenings and holidays, as requested.
