Job Summary To support our extraordinary team who build great products and contribute to our growth, we’re looking to add a
** Facilities Engineer
** located in Austin**, TX.
** Reporting to the
** Facilities Manager
** the Facilities
** Engineer
* * role applies engineering values to design, modify or develop facilities, testing, machines, equipment or processes used in processing or manufacturing products.
** What a typical day looks like:
*** Research facility products or equipment specifications and performance requirements to define designs which can be produced by existing manufacturing or processing facilities and methods.
* Research engineering proposals, process requirements and related technical data pertaining to industrial facilities machinery and equipment design.
* Defines feasibility of designing new plant facilities equipment or modifying existing facilities considering costs, available space, time limitations, company planning and other technical and economic factors.
* Provides technical facilities information concerning manufacturing or processing techniques, materials, properties and process advantages and limitations which affect long range plant and product engineering planning.
* Compiles and research facilities research data to establish performance standards for newly designed or modified equipment.
* Studies engineering and technical publications to keep abreast of technical changes and developments in industry.
* Uses computer assisted engineering and design software and equipment to perform engineering tasks.
* Guides projects and project teams.
** The experience we’re looking to add to our team:
*** Bachelor of Science Degree in Electrical Engineering, related degree or equivalent experience and training.
* Requires a minimum of 6+ years of related experience.
* Prefer some knowledge of manufacturing operations.
* Demonstrates advanced operations, technical and people and/or process skills as well as customer (external and internal) relationship skills.
* Demonstrates expert knowledge of the function and a thorough comprehension of Flex’s and related business.
* Creates functional processes or technologies. Executes functional strategic plans and objectives at the site.
* Matter Expertise in one or more of the following areas: clean rooms, Walk-in Coolers & Freezers, RO/DI Water systems, Waste Neutralization, Compressed gas distribution systems, vacuum systems, Process chillers and non-clean utilities.
* Manufacturing plant construction in a cGMP industry; preferably in Medical Devices or Pharma.
* Facilities Engineering construction activity at MEP (Mechanical, Electrical and Process) discipline.
* Fault/Root Cause Analysis and Review (FRACAS).
* Utilities (steam, cooling media, heating media, water systems, compressed air).KR13
