THE ROLEThe focus of this role is to maintain existing and plan, build, and execute new features in the area of power delivery and reliability for CPU cores.
THE PERSONYou have a passion for modern, complex processor architecture, digital design, and verification in general. You are a team player who has excellent communication skills and experience collaborating with other engineers located in different sites and time zones. You have strong analytical and problem-solving skills and are willing to learn and ready to take on problems.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES- Understand, develop ability to maintain, existing features in the power delivery, thermal management, and reliability domains for CPU Cores.
- Collaborate with architects, hardware engineers; power integrity, thermal management & reliability engineers to maintain existing features and develop new features in AMD CPU Cores.
- Experience in IP level silicon design methodologies.
- Strong EE fundamentals.
- Experience with Verilog, System Verilog, C, and C++.
- Experience with circuit and finite element simulators.
- Automating workflows in a distributed compute environment.
- Experience in the C++ language, preferably on Linux with exposure to Windows platform.
- Scripting language experience:
Perl, Ruby, Makefile, shell preferred. - Exposure to leadership or mentorship is an asset.
- Ph.D. or Masters degree in computer engineering/Electrical Engineering.
