Security Clearance

Applicants will be subject to a government security investigation and must meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information at the level appropriate to the project requirements of the position. Applicant must be authorized to work full‑time for any employer without sponsorship.

Purpose

Provide technical project management oversight to multiple key projects within TIE, ensuring schedules are met and stakeholders are informed of progress or roadblocks. Effectively manage highly technical multidisciplinary teams and projects.

Responsibilities
  • Oversee the work by a team of mechanical systems engineers in the research and development of novel electrical, mechanical, software and systems related to advanced 3D HI processes.
  • Develop, coordinate, oversee, and ensure completion of project task lists and schedules related to design, fabrication, assembly, and tests of equipment systems.
  • Manage and direct assigned projects with emphasis on time schedule control, coordination of development and implementation, and communication with designated clients.
  • Develop project plans including life cycle, budgets, resource requirements, change management processes, risk management, key milestones, communication mechanisms, test plans and deliverables.
  • Implement and recommend policies and procedures to ensure compliance with all applicable laws, University policies, rules and regulations.
  • Manage project implementation, including emergent issues, to ensure all tasks are completed within established deadlines and budgets.
  • Prepare detailed reports on project progress with stakeholders and team leads, including plans, barriers, solutions, milestones, financial costs/projections and analyses.
  • Interface with facilities and outside contractors to coordinate and manage resources.
  • Track requirements/specifications and changes throughout the product lifecycle.
  • Other related functions as assigned.
Required Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in business, project management, engineering, or a related field.
  • At least three years of experience in technical project management.
  • Knowledge of project management software and practices.
  • Experience with industrial controls.
  • Excellent time management skills, ability to multi‑task and prioritize work.
