We’re looking to add a Facilities Engineer located in Austin, TX
. Reporting to the Facilities Manager
, the Facilities Engineer applies engineering values to design, modify, or develop facilities, testing, machines, equipment or processes used in processing or manufacturing products.

• Research facility products or equipment specifications and performance requirements to define designs that can be produced by existing manufacturing or processing facilities and methods.
• Research engineering proposals, process requirements and related technical data pertaining to industrial facilities machinery and equipment design.
• Define the feasibility of designing new plant facilities equipment or modifying existing facilities considering costs, available space, time limitations, company planning and other technical and economic factors.
• Provide technical facilities information concerning manufacturing or processing techniques, materials, properties and process advantages and limitations which affect long‑range plant and product engineering planning.
• Compile and research facilities research data to establish performance standards for newly designed or modified equipment.
• Study engineering and technical publications to keep abreast of technical changes and developments in industry.
• Use computer‑assisted engineering and design software and equipment to perform engineering tasks.
• Guide projects and project teams.

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering preferred or equivalent experience and training.
• Typically requires a minimum of 4–6 years of related experience.
• Expertise in one or more of the following areas: clean rooms, walk‑in coolers & freezers, RO/DI water systems, waste neutralization, compressed gas distribution systems, vacuum systems, process chillers and non‑clean utilities.
• Manufacturing plant construction experience in a cGMP industry; preferably in medical devices or pharma.
• Facilities engineering construction activity at MEP (Mechanical, Electrical and Process) discipline.
• Fault/Root Cause Analysis and Review (FRACAS).
• Utilities (steam, cooling media, heating media, water systems, compressed air).
