This position is a mechanical engineering role for someone with knowledge about mechanical components and assemblies. The focus is on developing new products and sustaining existing products to support production and manufacturing engineering teams. The role may involve travel to sites for support of new and existing products and direct interface with customers.

• Design, develop, and document new components and modules using 3D CAD software.
• Support additional engineering activities related to production.
• Fabricate and assemble prototype components and modules.
• Develop design verification test methods.
• Conduct environmental and/or regulatory testing.
• Write test reports.
• Register items in PDM and ERP systems, including creation of configuration matrices, BoMs, ERs and ECOs.
• Assist with design reviews.
• Support the operations team in manufacturing and shipment of products.
• Support field service teams in troubleshooting issues at customer sites.
• Support customer service teams in responding to customer inquiries.
• Design, develop, and document improvements to existing components and modules.

• BS in an engineering discipline (preferably mechanical engineering).
• 3–5 years of experience in mechanical design.

• Fabricated and formed sheet metal parts.
• Fluid handling components made from cast metal (sand cast and die cast aluminum and grey iron).
• Injection molded plastic and elastomeric parts.
• Machined aluminum, steel and plastic parts.
  
  Fluid handling systems.
• Solid Works CAD system.

• Proficiency in Solid Works CAD system.
• Proficiency in MS Office applications (Excel, Word and PowerPoint).
• Experience working in a manufacturing environment.
• Experience working in experimental/machine shops.
• Experience working on cross‑functional design teams.

• Ability to work both individually and in a team.
• Ability to work with limited direction to attain project goals according to set timelines.
