Overview
Acutronic is looking for a Product Lifecycle Management (PLM) Specialist to join our team in Austin, TX. In this role, you will be responsible for overseeing and executing PLM activities including configuration management, modeling, drafting, and other administrative activities. Our ideal candidate will have at least 4 years of relevant experience in aerospace or defense-industry PLM services.
Responsibilities- Support business development teams with sales efforts and contract negotiations
- Support research, development, and product design of micro-thrust turbines and turbo-generator sets
- Design, model, and draft to support a micro-turbine product line
- Support and document designs via production-quality CAD drawings (Siemens NX and Solid Works)
- Perform geometric dimensioning and tolerancing (GD&T) of existing and new products
- Be able to perform complex assembly limit stacks using GD&T principles
- Manage vault storage and product component version control software (Siemens Teamcenter or related product)
- Manage configuration and change management for the design and production of engine systems
- Coordinate with sales, engineering, procurement, assembly, testing, and field service teams on complex projects
- Accountable for project obligations including delivery deadlines, budget requirements, and quality and functional specifications
- Advise senior management on solutions to problems
- Associate’s Degree in Computer Aided Drafting or significant industry experience
- At least four years of aerospace or defense-industry experience in PLM services required
- Familiarity with Siemens Teamcenter or related product is required
- Knowledge in modeling complex models (blades, rotors, aero-structural interaction, advanced surfacing techniques)
- Experience working on complex customer projects or programs in the aerospace, defense, or engineering fields
- Siemens NX experience is required;
Solid Works experience is a plus - Strong computer skills specifically with Microsoft Office Suite
