Field Support Chemist Major Areas Of Accountability- Provide technical guidance and recommendations for completed lab analysis to the Manufacturing Plant, Reverse Osmosis Building, and Chemical Distribution Systems
- Must be willing to learn the process in the supported departments/areas
- Responsible for maintaining lab equipment: microscope, fume hoods, thermal ovens, particle counters, ICs, titrators, fluoride analyzers, balance, spectrophotometer, incubator, hot plate, and pH meter
- Responsible for maintaining field equipment:
Thermal IC, titrator, analytical balance - Coordinate scheduling of preventative maintenance and calibration for lab and field instrumentation
- Responsible for stocking reagents for instrumentation
- Ability to grab field samples for analysis
- Ability to use ION chromatography and interpret results
- Bacteria testing for reclaim system and Ultra‑Pure Water
- Active participant in supporting department meetings, capital planning, and expense budgeting
- SPC monitoring
- Data analysis
- Work within defined technical processes and procedures
- Initiate and drive continuous improvements
- Uphold area upkeep and 5S principles
- Collaborate cross departmentally, elevate as required
- Maintenance and creation of standard operating procedures
- Record keeping, reporting, as required
Shift: Monday through Friday
Required Qualifications- Education:
2 Year Technical/associate’s degree in chemistry or equivalent discipline - Experience:
2 years of work experience (lab experience) - Skills:
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
- Ability to lift 50 lbs
- At times bending and or crouching
- Education:
a relevant completed vocational / professional training of at least 3 years - Experience:
3-5 years of work experience
