Join our Downstream Chemicals Team and leverage over 100 years of industry knowledge to deliver best‑in‑class technology and support to optimize processes, finished fuels, and water treatment applications within refineries.
Responsibilities- Safely manage day‑to‑day operations of refinery process, finished fuels, and water treatment programs to ensure performance and value delivery for our customers.
- Develop trusted relationships with customers and cross‑functional teams to promote collaboration.
- Apply account management fundamentals to understand customer needs, requirements, and potential sales opportunities while supporting the account P&L.
- Identify and coordinate numerous projects of varying complexity to bring value to our customers.
- Monitor and report performance of existing treatment programs.
- Collaborate with team members to drive technical sales and innovative solutions that bring value to our customers.
- Collect and interpret data for troubleshooting, service reports, meetings, reviews, and presentations delivered to customers.
- Provide field support, laboratory analysis, and technical guidance for customers on issues, projects, turnarounds, shutdowns, and daily operations.
- Manage chemical inventories and deliveries at the customer location.
- Associate’s degree or higher in a technical field preferred, but not required; demonstrated relevant field experience acceptable.
- Experience in refining, petrochemical, or industrial settings supporting chemical treatment programs.
- Strong understanding of industrial chemical treatment technology and sales processes.
- Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills.
- Previous experience working in a laboratory setting and/or familiarity with analytical methods and interpretation.
- Comprehensive understanding of customer requirements and refinery market conditions.
- Ability to present complex technical content to various levels of internal and external organizations clearly and concisely.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Programs (Excel, PowerPoint, Word, Outlook).
- Ability to drive a company vehicle as required; motor vehicle record checks will be performed.
- Residing within a commutable distance to Sunray, TX (1 hour or less).
