** High Level Position Summary
** The Planning Engineer supports the development and delivery of patient-specific orthopedic surgical solutions by preparing and quality-checking pre-operative surgical plans and designing custom surgical guides. This role collaborates closely with engineers, clinicians, and global cross-functional teams to ensure accurate, high-quality surgical analyses. The position also contributes to establishing and scaling Enovis’ surgical planning capabilities, while driving innovation, process improvement, and alignment with the company’s strategic vision in orthopedic care.
** Job Responsibilities
*** Quality assurance and preparation of pre-operative surgical analyses
* Design custom-made, patient-specific surgical guides
* Establish our Austin office for pre-operative surgical plan analysis, collaborating across time zones with peers in Australia and around the world
* Collaborating with engineers, clinicians, and cross-functional teams
* Contribute to the development and execution of Enovis' strategic vision
** Education/Experience Requirements
*** Recent graduate or 1+ years’ experience in a similar role
* Degree in biomedical engineering, mechanical engineering, or medical science
* Experience working with CT segmentations or orthopedic surgical planning would be a plus
* Strong computer literacy and ability to work with complex technical data
* Excellent analytical, writing, and presentation skills
* Constant focus on innovative ways to improve the ways we deliver our services & products
* A person who is challenged by a constantly changing business environment and adapts quickly to this environment
* A team player who can communicate effectively and meet tight deadlines
