Position Overview

We are looking for a highly skilled End of Line Electrical Technician to join our growing team on 2nd shift (3:00pm-11:30pm). This role is critical in ensuring the quality and functionality of electrical systems and components in our autonomous surface vessels before they are delivered to the DoD. The ideal candidate will have hands‑on experience with electrical assembly, troubleshooting, testing, and final inspection of complex systems.

You will work closely with engineers and production teams to perform rigorous tests and ensure that all electrical systems meet stringent specifications and safety standards.

Responsibilities
  • Perform end‑of‑line testing, troubleshooting, and validation of electrical systems for autonomous surface vessels.
  • Conduct final electrical checks and diagnostics on wiring harnesses, circuit boards, sensors, motors, and other critical components.
  • Utilize diagnostic tools and equipment (e.g., oscilloscopes, multimeters, power analyzers) to assess electrical functionality.
  • Identify and resolve electrical issues or failures by interpreting schematics, wiring diagrams, and technical specifications.
  • Collaborate with the engineering team to interpret test results and implement corrective actions when necessary.
  • Ensure all electrical systems meet quality, safety, and compliance standards before vessels are shipped to clients.
  • Maintain a detailed log of all test results, repairs, and modifications.
  • Assist with the setup and calibration of electrical equipment used during production.
  • Follow best practices for electrostatic discharge (ESD) and safety standards in all electrical work.
  • Provide feedback to the design and engineering teams to improve product designs and streamline the testing process.
  • Assist with troubleshooting electrical problems in prototype vessels and support new vessel designs.

  • Proficiency with diagnostic tools (e.g., oscilloscopes, multimeters, power supplies).
  • Hands‑on experience with electrical assembly, testing, and troubleshooting in complex systems.
  • Familiarity with industry standards for electrical safety and compliance (e.g., IPC standards, MIL‑STD).
  • Excellent problem‑solving skills and the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Attention to detail and a commitment to producing high‑quality results.
  • Ability to work in a fast‑paced, high‑pressure environment.
  • Experience working with autonomous systems, unmanned vehicles, or defense technologies.
  • Familiarity with embedded systems, sensors, and controllers used in autonomous vessels.
  • Knowledge of software tools for electrical system testing and diagnostics.

  • The ability to carry 20 lbs. up and down stairs
  • Ability to work outside for an extended period of time
  • Frequently and repetitively, bend, lift and reach to install vehicle parts of varying size and weight overhead, accurately and in allotted time frames
  • Ability to stand and walk for up to 12 hours/day, including over varied and uneven terrain
  • Stoop, lay, bend, reach, squat, kneel, crouch, twist and crawl for extended periods of time, including up to 12 hours/day
  • Climb and maintain balance on ladders, platforms, or other high structures
  • Ability to find issues in a work process and be alert to safety signals using sight, touch, and hearing
