Description
Provide day‑to‑day Telecom support for the Camp Metro locations.
- Lead review meetings
- Lead business reviews per agreed schedule defined by PM
- Interface with PM to monitor/address issues and business changes
- Provide “smart hands” support for the 30+ buildings in the Maplewood area. Enables level 3 engineers to work remotely and utilize this team to be their on‑site person.
- Inventory management of Telecom and Layer 1 equipment for our Global Telecom footprint.
- Shipping/Receiving POC for Telecom
- Asset Management POC for Telecom
- Manage Telecom smaller projects (initiatives) required for modernizing and securing systems in the Maplewood area.
- Represent Business to IT Telecom Global Product Managers. Drive additions and improvements to product/service portfolio. Drive improvements to planning, design, procurement, implementation and support processes.
- Represent IT Telecommunications to 3M Facilities Management. Understand upcoming key projects and be prepared to deliver telecom network and services within timelines.
- Gather telecom information on infrastructure and network equipment in order to create ‘As Is’ drawings. Discuss the ‘As Is’ design with the IT Telecom Global Product Leads to determine telecom, infrastructure and network equipment design for each site location.
- Ability to work on billing issues for Telecom and Cabling.
- Coordinate (Site Contracts) to assist on projects
- Seller to provide network architecture, engineering support and design for LAN refresh projects in the global switching and wireless environment. This will include Cisco Switching, Cisco Routing, Cisco wireless controllers, Cisco Wireless AP’s, and limited deployment of HP Switching and wireless.
- Seller to provide Telecom project managers to help with site refreshes and telecom initiatives
- Seller to provide support, engineering and design for LAN refresh sites, Data Center switches, routers and F5 Load balancers. Will help with configuring switch ports and VLAN, router interfaces.
- Review and update Visio network diagrams
- Perform network design and Visio drawing recommendations

Job Type & LocationThis is a Contract position based out of Austin, TX.
Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $20.00 – $23.00/hr.
