Microchip Technology is seeking an Engineer I - Test to join our Networking and Connectivity Solutions (NCS) division based in Austin, Texas.
Responsibilities- Develop and validate ATE test programs for semiconductor devices.
- Perform device characterization, correlation, and yield analysis.
- Debug test failures and collaborate with design, product, and manufacturing teams to resolve issues.
- Optimize test programs for cycle time and cost efficiency.
- Support new product introduction (NPI) and qualification activities.
- Document test procedures and maintain version control for test programs.
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or related discipline.
- 0 – 3 years of related work experience.
- Basic understanding of semiconductor devices and test methodologies.
- Familiarity with programming languages such as C/C++, Python, or similar.
- Knowledge of ATE platforms (e.g., Teradyne, Cohu Dmdx, Fusion) is a plus.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
