Title: Hardware Validation Engineer

Location: Austin, TX - Hybrid onsite (3 days a week minimum) is required.

Duration: 1 yr with possible extension

• Hardware validation role focused on performance validation of next generation AMD server architecture and AI accelerators.

• Bachelors degree is required for candidates.

• Analyzing benchmarks and performance characteristics of next generation AMD servers and AI Accelerators.
• Research trade-offs for our server architecture, especially as related to the memory hierarchy, storage systems, scheduling, and I/O devices.
• Collect data from benchmark results, CPU performance counters, and other related performance information to identify bottlenecks and other performance limitations of the benchmark itself, SoC and system.
• Evaluate system performance by executing industry standard benchmarks.

• Experience using Linux performance analysis tools and methods.
• Experience executing industry standard benchmarks or other performance test workloads.
• Highly motivated independent contributor with a strong desire to learn and develop a deep understanding of the technology.
• Understanding of computer system architecture.
• Communicates and collaborates well with others.
• Experience with PCIe testing and hardware validation.

• Experience with AI benchmarks such as MLPerf, Res Net
  50, etc.
• Experience with benchmarks such as STREAM, multi chase, SPECCPU
  2017, HPL, DGEMM, GUPS, SPECJbb and others.
• Experience with I/O benchmarks and tools such as Infiniband, iPerf3, FIO and others.
• Experience benchmarking memory technologies such as DDR5, CXL, HBM and others.
• Competitive analysis as it relates to server architectures and AI workloads.
