Grow with us, H2O+U.Your Opportunity Stantec's growing Industrial Water practice is seeking a highly motivated Process Engineer with industrial process, application, and operations experience to join our team in our Austin, TX office.

The candidate will support project proposal and delivery processes throughout the US and Canada with Focus on the US South Region within the following markets:
Advanced Manufacturing, Datacenters, Upstream and Downstream Oil and Gas, Chemical Processing Industry, Power, Food and Beverage, Mining, and Pharma.

The role of the Process Engineer is to productively network with a wide array of engineering, environmental, water, and wastewater professionals on both technical project delivery and related business development initiatives, as well as lead process evaluation and design efforts across all phases of the project lifecycle.

Candidate should be able to evaluate, select, specify, and engineer systems or products for a project, and will perform or supervise and review a variety of tasks which may include calculations, design sketches and concepts, report preparation and field work.

Projects assigned may be broad, varied, and diverse in scope. You will analyze proposed projects to meet client needs and standards by ensuring safety, reliability, resource efficiency and cost-effectiveness. Business development/application activities range from intentional listening to client needs and identifying related solution opportunities to developing technical scopes and budgets for project delivery. Process Engineers routinely assist in the development of detailed proposals for a wide variety of project settings.

Key Responsibilities Perform business development/application tasks and collaborate with staff to increase project wins and develop long lasting client relationships. Routine tasks include:

- Participate in business line teams to manage and develop proposals.scope of work development and labor hours estimatesdivision of responsibility (DOR) matricesquality reviews

Perform complex engineering design tasks on assigned water, power and industrial process and wastewater-related projects through collaboration with a wide range of technical disciplines. Routine technical tasks may include:

- design basis documentsengineering calculations including mass and energy balances.review of regulatory requirements engineering documents, specifications, and drawingsreview and evaluation of technology-based solutions engineering reportsfeasibility studies

Development of opinions of probable cost (OPC) for both capital costs and operations & maintenance (O&M) costspresentations to clients, regulatory agencies and/or project stakeholdersquality reviews

Engage in the development of a design through sketches, electronic models, diagrams, and other visual formats.

Assist project managers with developing and managing the project scope, budget, staffing, and schedule.

Development and coordination of project construction specifications.
