Senior Geotechnical Dam Engineer Opportunity | Texas
I’m currently supporting a leading engineering consultancy in identifying a Senior Geotechnical Dam Engineer to join their growing Texas team.
This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced geotechnical professional with a background in dam engineering, dam safety, levees, and hydraulic structures who is looking to take on a technical leadership role.
Location: Texas (Austin area)
Experience: 12+ years in geotechnical/dam engineering
Salary: $140,000 – $175,000 + benefits (dependent on experience)
The successful candidate will be responsible for:
- Leading geotechnical investigations and dam safety evaluations
- Supporting design, rehabilitation, and risk reduction projects
- Managing complex engineering projects from planning through construction
- Providing technical leadership and mentoring junior engineers
- Building relationships with clients, utilities, government agencies, and water resource organisations
- Supporting business development and proposal efforts
Ideal backgrounds include experience with:
- Embankment dams & hydraulic structures
- Seepage and slope stability analysis
- Dam rehabilitation projects
- Construction support and technical specifications
- Project and client management
This role would suit a Senior Geotechnical Engineer, Dam Engineer, Project Manager, or Technical Lead looking to make an impact within a specialist engineering environment.
