Join a global gaming company at the forefront of innovation in slot game design and development. As a Game Designer, you'll play a key role in conceptualizing, designing, and producing engaging slot games that deliver exceptional entertainment experiences.
ResponsibilitiesDesign and develop engaging slot game concepts, gameplay mechanics, and features.
Apply programming and mathematical principles to create accurate game simulations and calculation programs.
Develop gaming probabilities, payout tables, and production math for both proprietary and traditional slot systems.
Work closely with software engineers to ensure correct implementation of mathematical models in production.
Conduct simulations to evaluate game performance, balance, and player experience.
Provide creative input on game rules, mechanics, and user engagement strategies.
Collaborate with product management and marketing teams to align game features with market trends.
Partner with art and sound teams to ensure cohesive creative vision and quality execution.
Review games through all stages of development to maintain design integrity and quality standards.
Support and guide other designers in transforming concepts into functional game environments.
Perform additional design‑related duties as assigned.
Job Knowledge3 or more years of professional experience in slot or casino game design and development
Solid understanding of spinning reel games, including slot and pokie game mechanics.
Strong grasp of game mathematics, including probabilities, pay tables, and return‑to‑player (RTP) models.
Ability to translate creative concepts into functional scripting or programming logic.
Skilled in running PC‑based simulations and analyzing resulting data sets.
Proficiency with basic statistics and programming languages such as C# and LUA (highly regarded).
Formal qualifications in computer programming or game design are advantageous.
Strong collaboration, communication, and problem‑solving skills.
Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines in a fast‑paced development environment.
Other RequirementsMust be able to obtain and maintain a Nevada Gaming registration.
LocationThe role is based in Austin, TX. It is hybrid in‑office, 2 or 3 days per week.
