Made in America Manufacturing, located in South Austin, is a precision machining and fabrication company committed to producing high-quality, American-made components for mission-critical applications. The company specializes in CNC machining, welding, fabrication, rapid prototyping, and turnkey assembly, serving a diverse customer base across high-impact industries.

DUTIES + RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Plan, direct, and control the company’s accounting and financial activities, ensuring compliance with Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP), statutory guidelines, and internal financial policies and procedures.
  • Establish, communicate, and implement major financial strategies, objectives, and policies for the company within approved budgetary plans and processes.
  • Align major business functions to the profitability, productivity, and cost control goals of the business plan.
  • Prepare timely and comprehensive reporting and analyses of historical/forecasted financial data (including but not limited to sales, profitability, working capital, cash, and other industry/company-specific financial metrics).
  • Monitor approved budgets versus actual results on a monthly basis, providing guidance and assistance where needed to management.
  • Communicate the results of the business unit activities, plans for and progress towards meeting financial goals/objectives, and explanations regarding key accounting initiatives.
  • Manage the accumulation and consolidation of all financial data necessary for an accurate accounting of consolidated business results.
  • Provide management with information vital to the decision-making process.
  • Assess the current accounting operations, offering recommendations for improvement, and implementing new processes.
  • Supervise multi-entity accounting department employees including providing guidance on unusual accounting scenarios, on-the-job training for development and potential advancement, and evaluation of work performance based on established performance standards.
  • Design the systems for the prioritization and payment processes for vendor invoices.
  • Drive initiatives for automation, efficiency, and quality-improvement.
  • Support the ongoing ERP systems implementation initiative.
SKILLS + EXPERIENCE REQUIRED
  • Expert knowledge of daily accounting processes and requirements in accordance with US GAAP.
  • Expertise in management principles involved in strategic planning and forecasting including people, material, and equipment resource allocation; corporate and human resource policies and benefits; leadership and teaming; and production methods.
  • Previous experience with multi-entity accounting consolidation of entities on different accounting software packages.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel accounting software programs.
  • Skill and ability to collect, organize, synthesize, and analyze data; summarize findings; and develop conclusions and recommendations from appropriate data sources.
  • Motivate, develop, and direct people as they work, building a strong team with the right skills in the right jobs.
  • Consider costs and benefits or potential actions to choose the most appropriate course of action.
  • Proactive communicator who can clearly articulate results and needs across all levels of business.
  • Able to establish and communicate clear priorities and influence others to support and act on those priorities.
  • Proven ability to manage multiple projects with competing deadlines.
  • Ability to anticipate work needs and interact professionally with customers.
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
QUALIFICATIONS
  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance.
  • MBA preferred.
  • 5+ years of leadership experience in accounting or finance function.
  • Experience with 13-week cash flow forecasting.
  • Experience with inventory/cost accounting.
  • CPA or CMA preferred.
  • Minimum of 10 years of accounting experience.
  • Manufacturing accounting experience preferred.
