Provide personal financial services at assigned military installations. Primary responsibilities include full breadth of personal financial counseling services to military service members and families.

• Provide personal financial counseling and management services directly to service members and families.
• Assist service members in establishing a spending plan for extended absences.
• Develop and make available informational financial materials to service members and families.
• Coordinate, publicize and provide a wide variety of Personal Financial Management classes/workshops covering the military lifecycle.
• Respond to requests for age-appropriate classes or seminars.
• Utilize virtual counseling or other electronic modes of communication (web-based, secure online chat, video-based communications), subject to authorization.
• Manage duty to warn situations according to DoD protocol.
• Communicate with leadership and participate in regular individual and group supervision.
• Participate in regular in-services, training, quality improvement committees or other contract activities as assigned.
• Perform all other duties as assigned.

• Bachelor’s degree required; associate degree plus 4 years experience, or high school diploma plus 6 years experience may be considered.
• 3+ years of financial counseling experience.
• U.S. citizen and fluent in English; bilingual in English and Spanish may be required.
• Adjudicated Tier 2 investigation required.
• Pass Congressionally mandated disclosures for organizational conflicts of interest (OCI) process.
• Must hold one of the following certifications:
  Accredited Financial Counselor (AFC), Certified Financial Planner (CFP), or Chartered Financial Consultant (ChFC).
