About TTSTC
The Texas Treasury Safekeeping Trust Company (TTSTC) is a special-purpose entity that manages, safeguards, and invests public funds and securities belonging to the state of Texas, its agencies and local political subdivisions of the state. TTSTC's special-purpose entity status provides the Comptroller's office direct access to specialized investment services and programs enabling the Comptroller to achieve the highest return at the lowest cost to the state.
General description
Join TTSTC's Risk & Quantitative Analytics (R&QA) team as a Quantitative Analyst or Senior Quantitative Analyst. This role involves investment research, data analysis, risk modeling, and system development to support investment decision-making and oversight. Candidates may be hired at one of three levels depending on qualifications and experience.

Work Hours
Agency standard work hours are Monday through Friday from 8am to 5pm, 40 hours per week with occasional evening and weekend hours. Hours are subject to change based upon business need or division determination.
This position may be eligible for a flexible/hybrid work schedule if certain conditions are met; working arrangements may change at any time as business necessitates.
Qualifications:
Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in a quantitative discipline (e.g., Business, Engineering, Math, Statistics, Finance, Economics, Computer Science)
- 0-6+ years of relevant experience in investment analysis, quantitative modeling, or financial data systems
- Proficiency in analytical tools and programming languages (e.g., Python, Matlab, SQL, VBA, R, C++, SAS)
- Intermediate to advanced Excel and Power BI skills
- General knowledge of risk management principles and financial markets
- Master's or PhD in a quantitative discipline
- Experience with risk systems (e.g., MSCI Risk Manager, Barra, Aladdin, Tru View)
- Familiarity with investment analytics platforms (e.g., Backstop, LPAnalyst, Axioma, eFront, Venn)
- Experience with performance systems (e.g., Clearwater, Solovis, State Street)
- Knowledge of index families and benchmarking tools (e.g., MSCI, Bloomberg, S&P, HFR, Preqin)
