Junior Escrow Officer – First American (Direct Division). Join a people‑first team dedicated to title insurance and settlement services.

What We Do

Responsible for handling real estate transactions by establishing new escrow accounts, managing funds, processing documents for closings, and completing settlements in accordance with established policies and procedures. Acts as a neutral liaison between file parties, adheres to company policy, and monitors and mitigates risk to the company.

How You’ll Contribute
  • Order title reports for issuing title insurance, resolving title defects, and satisfying existing liens and encumbrances against property or principals.
  • Establish escrow accounts by depositing funds and maintaining records.
  • Prepare transaction documents by completing forms and statements; collect and review existing documents.
  • Complete calculations by prorating taxes and interest.
  • Comply with regulatory requirements and company policy by adhering to and enforcing adherence to requirements.
  • Update job knowledge by participating in educational opportunities, reading professional publications, maintaining personal networks, and participating in professional organizations.
  • Other duties as assigned.
What You’ll Bring
  • High School diploma or equivalent.
  • 5+ years’ experience as an Escrow Assistant, preferably directly handling escrow transactions.
  • Valid licensing/certification as required by applicable state.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
  • Familiar with standard concepts, practices, and procedures within the escrow/title industry field.
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office applications.
  • Good client relations and organizational skills.
  • Ability to write reports and correspondence.
  • Detail‑oriented, professional, and able to handle confidential information.
