Equity Research Analyst – Technology, Fintech and Consumer Tech

Zacks Investment Research is seeking a highly motivated Equity Research Analyst to join our growing paid research division, covering small- and micro-cap companies in technology, fintech, and consumer tech. The division supports a diverse base of 110 institutional and corporate clients.

This role is ideal for a junior to mid-level analyst with strong financial modeling skills, intellectual curiosity, and a passion for equity markets, particularly small- and micro-cap companies in software, fintech, AI and data analytics, consumer and entertainment technology, IoT, and related industries.

• Conduct fundamental equity research on an assigned coverage list, including financial modeling and valuation (DCF, comparables, and multiples-based analysis)
• Write clear, concise initiation reports, company updates, and event-driven notes
• Analyze operating metrics and unit economics, including recurring revenue, retention, customer acquisition costs, and transaction volumes
• Monitor technology trends, competitive dynamics, and regulatory developments affecting covered companies
• Participate in management calls, industry research, and client interactions
• Work closely with senior analysts on sector research and new coverage

• 1–5 years of equity research, investment banking, or related experience
• Experience in the technology, fintech, or consumer tech sectors
• Strong accounting and financial modeling skills
• Experience or interest in small/micro-cap equities is a plus

• Ownership of coverage, with research published under your name
• Direct exposure to company management teams and investors
