We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Local Government Finance Specialist to support our work on behalf of cities, counties, and special districts. This individual will play a key role in delivering financial and accounting services tailored to the unique needs of local governments.

• Provide financial analysis, reporting, and support for municipal clients.
• Assist local governments in deployment and change management for their new software.
• Ensure compliance with state and local government accounting standards (e.g., GAAP, GASB).
• Communicate with finance directors, auditors, and other stakeholders.
• Quickly develop thorough knowledge of company products and client verticals, including local and state governments and special districts.
• Address product use cases, benefits, competitive advantages, and business outcomes; facilitate executive and technical follow-up to close the sale.
• Contribute to process improvements and financial system upgrades as needed.
• Interface and develop professional relationships with existing customers and prospects throughout all organizational levels. Establish referenceable customers to build the GovUS brand in your territory.

• At least 3 years of experience working with governments
• Ability to travel as needed (anywhere from 25% to 50%)
• Passionate about government
• Self-motivated, creative, results-driven, solution-oriented, direct, and convincing when it’s right for the customer
• Ability to remain focused and flexible during rapid change
• Strong understanding of government accounting and governmental operations.
