General DescriptionPerforms routine (journey-level) quality assurance work. Work involves administering internal quality assurance and compliance for multiple databases within state and federal regulations. Verify accuracy, completeness, and validity of legal documents submitted by law enforcement and judicial entities. May train others. Works under moderate supervision, with limited latitude for the use of initiative and independent judgment.
Essential Duties / ResponsibilitiesEducation: Graduation from a standard senior high school or equivalent is required. Graduation from an accredited four-year college or university with major coursework in criminal justice or a related field is preferred.
Experience: Minimum of three (3) years experience in criminal history records, auditing, compliance or quality assurance work. Substitution

Education of the type described may be substituted for the experience requirement, with two (2) years of education equivalent to one (1) year of work experience.
Licensure and/or Certification: Must possess or obtain CJIS secure systems certification obtained through a TXDPS training course within 6 months of employment. Driving is required; must possess a valid driver license from state of residence.
Critical Organizational Infrastructure Requirements: Must not be employed by nor have any connection or continuous connections to any governmental entity or political apparatus of a country listed in 15 C.F.R. §791.4.
Regulatory Knowledge: Working knowledge of, or the ability to rapidly assimilate information related to TXDPS, State, and Federal regulations, legislation, guidelines, policies and procedures, and as specifically related to the maintenance, processing, retention, confidentiality and dissemination of databases related to position.
